As an appetizer, my Dad ordered us some spring rolls. The spring rolls were a rice wrap filled with greens, rice, meat, and a single shrimp laid just under the rice wrapper. Yum! This part was the icing on the cake, in my opinion! They were crisp, light, and refreshing--a perfect introduction to the meal. They were served with this incredible peanut sauce that I could seriously just eat by itself with a spoon.
When we opened to the "pho" page of the menu, we found that there were exactly 22 different ways to eat your pho! I chose #10: noodle soup with well-done flank. They served it alongside a plate of fresh basil and crisp bean sprouts that you could add, which gave it the perfect crunch. The broth was salty, making the meat and noodles sooo flavorful. It was "pho"-nomenal! (Can you tell that is what I would name my restaurant if I opened a pho noodle house?) It was a wonderfully wintry, warm dinner.
